As part of our commitment towards making technologies simple, a one-day New Energy Appreciation Course has been created for installers, heating engineers, plumbers, design engineers, customer service and sales staff. About this Course

These are comprehensive one-day courses, which can be customised for individual installation and servicing companies. The course uses a simple step-by-step approach with hands on training to ensure all aspects of commissioning, servicing, and fault finding can be dealt with quickly and efficiently. If you are an installer or service engineer you must be Gas Safe Registered to attend a course. Apprentices are also welcome to attend courses providing they are accompanied by a Gas Safe registered colleague.

Each course covers the following:

  • Introduction to renewables
  • Hot water installation and plumbing layouts
  • Practical session
  • Practical session – setting up controllers
  • Identifying parts

A certificate of attendance is awarded upon completion. Lunch and refreshments are provided during the day.



BPEC Solar Domestic Hot Water Course.

As part of our commitment towards making technologies simple, we offer a three day solar BPEC training course, leading to full solar accreditation upon completion.

The course is a combination of theory and practical, with a proportion of the course being spent working outside on a low level, purpose built roof.

BPEC Heat Pump Installer Course (QCF aligned).

This course is designed to give installers the skills and knowledge required to correctly install heat pumps.

About this Course

This course has been created with the intention of meeting the requirement of the National Occupational Standards and is recognised as a demonstration of competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Apprentices are also welcome to attend courses providing they are accompanied by a Gas Safe registered colleague.
