I started my apprenticeship in plumbing and heating in 1975, and since then I’ve had a very varied career including pipefitting, commercial boiler and catering repair. I’ve worked at Ideal for the past 13 years and enjoy passing on the experiences I’ve gained over the past 39 years. My strengths are in the commercial environment.
I find some boilers and renewable products have their own little quirks, therefore it can be very beneficial to attend regular training. I try to break things down as simply as possible to make them more understandable. My strengths are electrics and controls, domestic boilers and solar thermal systems.
I have been working in the gas industry since I left school and I have worked at Ideal since 2004. I’ve been part of the training department for the last 8 years and during that time I have met some fantastic people. It’s great to be able to advise and pass on information which can help people in their day to day jobs. My strengths are with Ideal’s domestic boilers & renewable products.
Having worked for both manufacturers and service providers I have a solid and broad overview of the heating industry. I really enjoy working with new technologies and renewables and I am very interested in what the future of heating will be like.
